Fox

When I went into the garden to hang out the washing, there was a fox lying in the grass by the bushes, calmly staring at me.

I was rather surprised that the cat didn't seem to detect its presence. She was on the opposite side of the bushes, but I'd have thought a fox would smell a bit!

i'm assuming teh fox was downwind from the cat (or perhaps the wind was perpendicular to them both) otherwise your cat may have a cold, heh.

Maybe the cat was reassured by my presence... but she's pretty dumb, so who knows.

foxes are ace. When they're outside and not eating your chickens. They're messy when they're eating chickens.

It was a pretty, tawny fox, so I was quite gratified. My friend in Chiswick has a manky fox which visits, but perhaps being next-door to countryside makes for healthier ones.
