A little piece of Princess Bride yumminess, Perfect
From Pat Barker's 'Regeneration' trilogy, the tone caught so well; even knowing how dangerous and delinquent and insane it is, Rivers has allowed Siegfried to charm him into bed. Poetic Unreason.
I love Robin McKinley's Damar books, and this feels like a postscript scene: Bridges
Pre-'Four Weddings and a Funeral', how Matthew and Gareth met. I hear them saying their dialogue. Ivy Covered Professors in Ivy Covered Halls
and finally, the most *fabulous* G & S slash, from The Pirates of Penzance, The Worthy Seaman or The Lowly Slave of Duty. Set in the cabin of the Pirate King. He, Samuel (his Lieutenant) and Frederic, the apprentice, are ranged about the cabin tending to their weaponry. Do not miss this.
