Le weekend
Jan. 29th, 2007 06:01 pmFor the record, I have an occasionally beautiful husband.
An unusually varied weekend. Unfortunately, it began with the discovery of a site for online Patience, so I wasted quite a bit... Beast, Boy and I went up to Lincoln to visit Pa. He's progressing, but slowly, however, his concentration was much improved over last time so we had a nice long conversation.
Straight back home and almost instantly out again to a barn dance with my fellow thespians. Boy was unimpressed at being dragged out *again*, but actually I think he rather enjoyed himself. He danced very nearly every dance, and not only managed it all perfectly well, but was actually grinning a bit. I have done my best to impress upon him the utility of learning to dance in a way that does not involve free-form limb-flailing (because if he is like his dad he won't be very good at that!), and I think the notion is taking root.
Auditioning on Sunday, a surprisingly satisfactory session, and quite entertaining. We haven't cast every role, but it was a most promising start. W S Gilbert really was a genius. It's so damn funny!
I have now added
trumpeterofdoom to the very select list of people I've chatted to using LJ's IM service. I can see the appeal. Why are not all of you people signed up? Let us band together and waste more time!
And a small aside on the subject of celebrities - does anyone else long for a celebrity breakup which is not accompanied by an announcement of enduring friendship, but instead by passionate declarations of loathing and a determination to scratch the ex-significant other's eyes out if they meet again? I mean, wouldn't that be more *fun*!
Right. Back to my Lance and AJ, who are misbehaving, but not quite as I have in mind. Pesky boys.

And that kind of breakup announcements would be really entertaining. I mean, what difference would it really make, the tabloids would go crazy anyway, it would just be funnier.

They clearly don't know what's best for them! If they cooperate they might get to have sex, haven't they realised that? Stupid boys!
