omg eurovision NOOOOOOOOOO

I was innocently watching my West Wing dvds and doing some pointless knitting, and then, I switched to BBC1 before shutting everything down, and was hypnotised with horror by a bunch of insane people wearing tinfoil suits and - for want of a better word - 'singing'. Not even Terry Wogan's dulcet tones could soothe me.

I fled. The horror, the horror!

And I have a Mother's Day present! Thank you so much, withdiamonds! I have selected the icon for this post in your honour. (Well, that and the fact that I have nothing in my icon collection that could properly express the awfulness of the Eurovision Song Contest.)

I feel your pain! Eurovision is everywhere in Finland, even in our office. I have been avoiding the TV all week. :D

I think I must have been the only European on my flist not watching last night! I haven't watched it since I was a teenager, the music hurts my ears :-)

It really is scary, isn't it :-) Just seeing the pics of the contestants in the paper was enough to give me hives and that didn't even include having to hear the songs!!
