Our strot today took us along the quiet country lane round the edge of the village. There were two people riding unicycles along the lane.
As for The Furore, hmm. I see the comment count on that news post is leaping at a rate to rival
fandom_counts's still-rising membership. Though I have not contributed to the former, I'm not at all convinced by the idea that LJ ought to prune its membership in any way. In *any* way. Would we want our phone companies to decide who ought not to be allowed a telephone?
LJ ought to respond to use complaints about bad LJ-user behaviour amongst journal users (spamming, stalking etc), but complaints about real-life evilness exhibited by users on their own journals or communities are complaints that should be addressed to people who have the expertise to sort them out. People whose *job* it is to sort them out.

I can't agree with your last paragraph enough!!! If LJ is sincere in they're wish to get rid of child molesters they should report them to the authorities who's you know, trained for it and won't mistake fanfic comms for the real offenders!
I usually manage to take the kerfuffles on LJ in my stride but this has really got to me. I think it's because there's been so much going on in my offline life that LJ has sort of become my refuge were I can just enjoy myself and not think to much. But this stuff is serious and I don't want to be serious online right now! This is my happy place, damn it!!
