Thanks! He's 18 (so he doesn't quite look like the icon any more...). A-Levels are what our kids study from 16 - 18, they don't have to do a full spread of subjects, just the ones they like!

Thanks - yes, Maths at UEA, but a year off first in which he is supposed to try and acquire some social skills...

Yeah, social skills first, then uni. Wish I'd thought of that. :)

Good luck to him! Maths is a great choice, I'm sure he'll have lots of fun with it (I can never quite understand why people dislike it so much).

I think if you have the right kind of brain for Maths, it must be fascinating. Anything that isn't basically arithmetic seems to slide straight out of my brain, alas.

Boy has Asperger Syndrome, so his social skills are, hmm, vestigial. He's rather sweet, really, but nobody ever finds out - so he has to try and get a job, somewhere, and learn to *talk* to people who aren't me.
