Monkey paws and a turd on the roof
Aug. 23rd, 2007 06:26 pmWell, now there are monkey paws on my car's windscreen, and a turd on the roof.
The bratlets were delighted by the five monkeys who clambered over the car as we went through Woburn's safari drive. Also by the wolf which crossed the road a car in front of us, and the mating lions. Ah. Nephew assumed that the lion mounting a lioness was trying to eat it, and rashly, I put him right about that, but happily for me he showed little further curiosity. The way the AN's retain information, and then talk it back, they would no doubt have enlightened their Nana if I had been required to do The Talk. I don't know her well enough to be sure whether she is ready for that!
We exercised in swan boats, and watched the sealion show, and saw penguins and lemurs. And had to come home the long way round because the radio informed us the motorway was buggered.
In all, a better day than yesterday, which ended rather dramatically with a groaning/screaming boy and a late-night dash to the emergency GP. AN has a urine infection, but aside from several rather self-conscious mentions of His Infection today, has shown no further signs of being bothered by it. Phew.
Tonight, I sing.
