Okay, I need help.

It's fic_requests. I've been trying to make a dent in the long list of requests pending (which is here), and I picked out the prompts I thought I could most readily write up into a ficlet... and I've been staring at them, devoid of inspiration, for weeks now.

Please, if there's anything on this list of requests that sparks a story for you, pleaseplease write it and comment with it to the requesting post. Some of those requests have been on the list for so long I expect the person who asked for the story has forgotten it - but, still, wouldn't it be nice to see some of those notions written up? I hate to present recaps with no new fic, but I'm getting nowhere.

And, because I have made a vow to produce at least one story for fic_requests every month, I need more inspiration! So if you have a request, please post that to the community, too.

I just counted: I've produced thirty-three stories in response to requests posted in this community, and I'm very proud of several of them. And wow, how's that for a source of inspiration! It's such a great idea for a comm, that you can ask for a ficlet on something that just appeals to you, and someone will have a go at writing it - and there have been a lot of lovely stories produced as a result. I'm a recent addition to the mod team, and I don't want to see the place go extinct...

...so, help?

there is one on there-- TrickC that Ive been wanting to write-#22. I will get around to it. Heck I even made sims especially for the story and took pics.. so yes. I do plan on doing that one.

As one of the original mod team, just looking at that list makes me want to cry. I've got bits and bobs of at least 4 stories started but got stalled on them all. I went through the list last winter (I think it was winter, it could have been early spring) and removed everyone of my old requests that hadn't been filled. I've even kept myself from making any new requests because everytime I think of that list growing it makes me sad.

Okay, rambling here...

I'll look again at the 4 I started and see if I can't get my muse jump started on them again. I might have to wait for the pain meds to wear off first though. lol. Kinda loopy here right now.

I know just what you mean - looking at the list makes me sad, because it ought to be *changing* and it ain't.

But do make requests - I've just failed to find inspiration in what's there, but maybe with some more prompts I shall be able to pick it up and get going again.

You take care of yourself first, you hear? Stories are great, but they can wait until you're better.
