Aug. 27th, 2006 12:51 pmA question for UK- (indeed, mostly London-) based friends: are there any charities in central London which will accept furniture?
My brother-in-law's girlfriend died last weekend. We are now helping him sort out her stuff, which will involve clearing the flat in the next three weeks. What furniture she has is mostly usable junk, rather than anything special, but it could be usable by someone else if we can figure out how to make it available. Bed, couple of easy chairs, fold-out futon, chest of drawers, that kind of thing. Fridge, probably, too. And a quite pretty, rather old wooden wardrobe.
Anybody know who to contact, or at least, suggest a name I can search for?
