Poor Beast. He has gone back to bed, having no energy today. He isn't at all well, and last night his breathing sounded like an old-fashioned lawnmower, the push-along, revolving blades kind. Which was not great for me either as it is hard to sleep next to a lawnmower.
Did anybody watch 'Legion'? The thing starring an unexpectedly skinny Dan Stevens? I say unexpectedly because I remember him as Cousin Matthew, British-TV-Normal. Now he's American-TV-Normal, which is still a surprise to me every time. Anyway, the show. I'm amazed to see it got three seasons. Perhaps if you either (a) know the comics from which it derives, or (b) are a much more sophisticated viewer than I am, it's good. We abandoned it after S2 ep1, because life is too short.
I have discovered, of late, that Wes Anderson is not, as I had assumed from the name, a director of manly action movies. We've watched The Grand Budapest Hotel and also The French Dispatch, both of which I enjoyed very much indeed. Grown-up movies. I should watch more grown-up movies. Any recommendations?
