Dear me, where have I been for a week?

Inspecting fairy costumes, for one thing. They be awesome! So now I know that my fairies will be part pre-Raphaelite drifty dreamers and part naughty schoolgirls.

Sorting out brats pre-uni. Things like, discovering that Boy will need a meningitis jab before he goes. He gets needled tomorrow.

Decorating an array of gingerbread persons. Collecting saba1789 from the airport so that she could offer Useful Advice on the decorating, and then collecting rikes and heading for nopseud's house at dead of night. We got there at about three, because the evil passport people at Stansted held our lovely rikes hostage in a queue for ages. turps33, ephemera and trumpeterofdoom, the guest of honour, had already arrived, and _ducks and kira_j managed to defeat the train system and arrive next day.

How we stared as kira_j devoured Nick's crotch in a single mouthful.

So there was sparkly joy, metaphorical cannibalism-via-gingerbread and edible Letterboys, unexpected nuptials, kir royale, and inevitable crack. We always manage to find new kinds of insanity when we get together, though 'not enough sleep' and 'plenty of tea' are pretty much constants. I love you guys.

Had to go to a management meeting when I got home on Monday, sigh, sat there more or less in a coma, and escaped with not too many tasks, thank goodness. And tonight, Beast and I have the excitement of a trip to the TNT depot in Luton. Words fail me. But at the moment he is raiding, thus, I post.

I had lots of practise glasspainting - laying down the outliner is much the same as using 'writing icing'.
