Beast and I have been watching the most recent season of Dr Who together, and it is awesome stuff, even if David Tennant does spend an inordinate amount of time with his eyes opened so wide they must hurt. Oh, and Amazon is (are?) selling the individual dvds at approx £7 each, and the complete season in a box for £46. There are but four dvds-worth of episodes... No, the 'Confidentials' don't make up the difference. At least not to the extent of paying £18 for them.

My cold, which prevented me from attending the last performance of my show last night, sniff, is getting better. I have not sneezed for hours.

People who complain that a debate is difficult to follow because it takes place in lots of different LJs/blogs instead of on a single site seem... old-fashioned to me. Guys, it's really not that hard. Oh, and insisting that LJ is hard to follow because it threads a discussion logically instead of presenting a gigantic list of comments? *eyerolls*

Anyone who wants to have a go at my popslash treasure hunt had better hop to it, as I shall bring it to a conclusion real soon now.

I have a magnificent bouquet of flowers, white somethings and carnations, unopened lilies, and pink roses. :-D

Threaded comments are the best thing about LJ.

The reason I love LJ and stay away from most other internet forums has a lot to do with threaded comments. It's like usenet in that regard, which I always liked as a format.

Yes! I can't stand the forums when there is absolutely no logic to the comments. I didn't realize anybody actually preferred the forum style?

I've been seeing some very disparaging comments in Scalzi's blog, on the general subject of RaceFail09, whingeing about the difficulty of following threaded comments! (?!)

I am going to miss DT as Ten so much, but at the same time, I'm very much looking forward to seeing Eleven as well (and yes, I've seen him in other things already). I just can't believe we have to wait from Easter to Christmas. ACK!

I'm not even sure when the next bits of Who will be airing, but it's a sad, sad thing not to have a proper season to look forward to. DT has done a fair stint, I think, so it'll be interesting to see what the next one makes of it.

From what I understand, we have the Easter special and then ZIP until Christmas and it's all squished together to lead into the regeneration for 11, which just blows so much.

LS's comments are hard to follow? Oh deary, deary me. And here I thought most of these people used to be on usenet, threaded comments was always touted as one of the big advantages of usenet, have they forgotten that? *rolls eyes so hard they HURT*

Yes, the flowers are from the show. :-) I wish I hadn't missed it, our MD is retiring from musical directing and they sang For He's a Jolly Good Fellow to him at the end of the curtain call. Hee.

I think it's the general apparent contempt of Real Bloggers for LJ. They just don't *want* to like it.
