Jun. 23rd, 2010 12:37 amI've spent most my time since Sunday morning on The Show: rehearsing or else working towards performance readiness in one way or another (compiling and typesetting the programme, sewing and ironing my costumes, answering a thousand questions from the strangely elusive stage manager). We had a full dress rehearsal tonight with the complete band (only one keyboard at the next dress on Thursday), and it went, on the whole, rather well. No doubt there could be improvements made in each and every item, but I don't think I'm going to be able to effect these, and besides, I (like every other member of the cast) spent most of the evening either performing or changing my costume (I have six).
We open on Friday. It's nearly over!
Meanwhile, the picture of Alan Cumming attached to today's blog entry makes me very cheerful.

Date: 2010-06-25 11:25 pm (UTC)I tend to hand things over to fate and the cast during the last couple of rehearsals—well, especially with this show as I am *in* it. It's difficult to be in a show and out front directing proceedings, so I just stopped worrying about anything but the continuity. It seems to be doing quite nicely!
