It really is Spring here.

I had letters to distribute yesterday, so Beast and I went for a walk, on what may well have been the nicest day of the year (so far), clear blue sky with just occasional smears of thin cloud, the barest hint of a breeze, and all the trees in blossom from white to rich, dark red, with the odd sideline into the mauves of lilac and wisteria. Flowers everywhere. And this morning I realised that all the horse chestnuts are in candle—which I thought they wouldn't do until May. But then, we have bluebells in the front garden next to the still-not-dead magnolia, and I always think bluebells ought to arrive in June.

Had to get up at ungodly time this morning to take Boy to his review appointment with the psychiatrist. We all agree he should be taking his medicine! He is, apparently, 'too lazy' to make sure he has a supply of pills. I should make him pay for them again, hah.

[community profile] fancake is doing genderswap as the theme this month. Let's see some popslash recs up there, I know we have some fantastic stories, and I can't remember where to find them.

we used to have an archive of genderswapped stories. Out of the top of my head I remember The Same inside (The very first Choey I read), Stacked, What makes you different makes you beautiful, The Girl can drink... Kashimoto Comet, Pretty Pretty Princess... I'm pretty sure there was at least one story for each band member changing into a girl. Unfortunately, most were lost in time :(

Kashimoto Comet was a fic in which everyone in the pop world woke up the opposite gender. So you not only had Girl!Sync and Girl!BSB, also boy!Britney and boy!Christina and so on. It was by CJ, and she still has it at http://www.mediageek.ca/cj/rpf/pop/comet.html

I think the last time I found the archive, half the links were dead.

Although that still leave the Wayback Mahcine I guess...

Okay, I'm going to experiment and find out if Dreamwidth will let me link to a LJ page: http://popsoundboard.livejournal.com/93079.html

That's the comprehensive list (or at least the most comprehensive list I could put together - there are about 35 stories on there) for the popsoundboard for the "Oh My God I'm a Girl!" theme. Hope it helps.

it is most definitely summer, isn't it - lovely but slightly disconcerting seeing as it's only April! Also - am currently watching Rome, so extra-appreciative of your icon :D

That sounds so lovely! We appear to have gone straight from winter to +18C. It's warm and sunny, but nature hasn't quite caught up yet, so no flowers for us. :D

Spring seems to have arrived really quickly. I've been enjoying working in the garden lately, and enjoying the sun.
