Happy New Year, everyone!

Firstly, overdue thanks to
mickeym,
sweet_poeia and
ariadnem (lovely message!) for the seasonal cards—which didn't arrive as belatedly as I'm making it seem, sorry about that! They came through the letterbox on the first delivery day after the Christmas Bank Holidays.
I actually made some Resolutions this year.
1 Post more to journal.
I feel woe when I check my reading list and there isn't much to read. Probably other people feel the same. So I am determined to post more. I'm not quite sure what that'll mean, but it may include a bit more ranting and a bit more linking to things that make me smile or ponder.
2 Rec more
I have been very passive about reading, and unless I am *wildly* excited by something, tend not to pass on the news of its existence. I'm going to try to do more.
3 Write more fic
I miss it. I miss writing, I hate the feeling of not remembering how to start, when there's an actual challenge and a deadline. So I'm damn well *going* to write more this year.
4 Podfic more
I quite enjoy reading stories aloud, and I certainly appreciate having stories to listen to while I'm crafting, knitting or in the kitchen. If anyone would like to recommend me a story you'd like to hear read in my voice, please do! (For those of you who don't know how I sound, try The Earl of Rothinghamtonfordshire by Jae for comedy, or Naked Christmas by Ephemera and Nopseud for a story with sex.)
5 Don't buy chocolate
I'm not going to say, don't eat chocolate, but if I can manage not to *buy* myself any, my chances of eating the stuff will go down drastically. It's for the best. Though I suspect that (IF I manage to keep this up) I will be a Compleat Chocolate-Scoffing Pig at Camp.
Mind you, I'm doing okay so far—Bun made some Gooey Chocolate Melty Puds, and as her recipe makes six, she and Beast and I had one yesterday and one today. Boy, who is obviously a mutant, doesn't like chocolate.
Oh, and a little note: I'm not going to stop reading the friends and comms on LJ that haven't moved over here to DW, but I'm buggered if I'm going to trawl through the new icon selection displays to find the perfect one. So if your comments page is in the new style, it'll be my cute little baby face every time. Not that it matters, it probably saddens me more than anyone else, but there it is.

Date: 2012-01-01 04:29 pm (UTC)No trade - because, hah! mine is mostly out of the house and living on his own! Admittedly he isn't actually a productive member of society yet, he has a way to go before he is likely to get a job, but still Not Underfoot. (Also not doing Unhearable Things in showers, for which I am very glad indeed!)
