Oh, good grief. I've just found my way to www.alphanail.com—nail varnish for Menz. Watch the video, go on! It's all about how Real Ruff Tuff Menz wear nail polish *and* win at kick boxing (or whatever) *and* acquire scantily dressed women. Yeah.

However, I quite like some of the colours, and I *definitely* like the pen applicators! Their contempt for the humble cotton ball seems a little harsh, though.

I know - so vehement on the definite dudeliness of being Real Menz who wear Manly Polish with manly names like 'Gasoline' and 'Pirate Gold'. So ridiculous.

I love this site. I swear, I am going to buy the colours (many of which are actually truly awesome) and try to convince my entire TKD tournament team (boys and girls alike) to paint their nails before our next tournament because it will make us TOUGHER and more BRUTE LIKE and we will KICK TAIL AND WIN. *giggling madly*

On the other hand, I've always loved watching our girls go out and kick butt and take names and then come off and inspect their neon orange toenail polish to see if it needs a quick touchup.

I am giggling so hard here. Thank you for sharing this. The applicators actually look kind of awesome. Although yeah, I can't figure out what the issue with cotton balls is??

I really like the metallics, I must admit. And really, a TKD team colour-co-ordinated down to the fingertips must be a fearsome and intimidating sight.

But the humble cotton ball, which asks nothing more than to be useful, to mop minor spillages or be infused with nail polish remover, the innocent cotton ball which harms no-one, can surely have done nothing to deserve such loathing.

I like the idea of the flat matte black, too. Most blacks shine.

My daughter's reaction to the loathing of the cotton ball was "Can't they use a Q-tip?" Whereas my husband pointed out that he used to wear nail polish for baseball games. He was the catcher; it guaranteed the pitcher could read his signals no matter what the sunlight or glare was.

Yes, yes they are. Although I will admit after looking at pictures, I do tend to like the darker colors on the guys better than the lighter colors.

Exactly! In fairness, I did own a set of nail pens a few years ago, but they had very fine tips and were designed for painting pretty pictures onto nails. I think the idea of using a pen to put nail varnish on is brilliant!
