Well. I was supposed to be in LA by now, having spent a couple of nights in Houston, TX. However... I got labyrinthitis on Tuesday and couldn't face going down the stairs, let alone getting on a plane, so my Beast has gone without me. He had a mightily busy day on Tuesday while I lay in bed trying not to open my eyes, and managed among other things to re-book me onto a flight directly to Sydney after the weekend. Not the comfy business class trip we'd planned, though.

Gah.

The world no longer spins when I open my eyes, but my balance is still off and I've become close friends with daytime TV over the last two days. Can't do a lot at the computer, though, so if I'm not noticing stuff, that's why.

Benadryl 25 mg and Tylenol 500mg every 6 hours. I swear this works during the acute phase. Also, with a trash can beside you, Hang your head over the side of the bed and shake it for 30 seconds. Then either puke or lay back and stay still.

Ugh, I'm so sorry. My mum thought she had a specific form of vestibular disorder for ages and has just within the last couple years been diagnosed with labyrinthitis--I can guess from caring for her how frustrating, annoying, and distressful it must be for you. Nothing tries your patience like something which makes you question the very borders, basin, and parameters of your world. BLEH. *hugs*

So sorry to hear you're not feeling well! It's bad enough when you're at home, but to be in a different country and beast having to travel on without you sounds terrible. I hope you are feeling better very soon. *hugs*
