A bit of an anti-climax

Bun got to vote for the first time today. I think she expected something a leetle more glamorous than the village hall and stubs of pencil in a rickety little booth - been watching too much of The West Wing, I dare say - but she was also, I think, pleased at the essential simplicity of the system and inclined to sneer at the notion of making it all Terribly Complicated, and With Levers.

Whatever.

I now have two challenge deadlines. Eep. This is in theory good for me, and why I signed up, as I rarely get anything done without a deadline. And what a strange and wonderful experience it is to find a fandom that so actively prods its members into writing stuff! It's a world away from the near-moribund zine culture of my first love.
