Awesomeness Wanted

pensnestAh! I just realised - it's the 1st of July.
In my defence, we've been visiting Beast's dad today, trying totalk him out of help him clarify his thoughts on moving to Australia. And about 50% of the route home seemed to be riddled with roadworks, including a completely closed road and a detour via Sevenoaks. Lovely.
Anyway, I'm a bit late, but what I'd like to propose is this. Last year, we had a bunch of months during which people signed up to post a fic (or, occasionally, something else) on each day. I think we overdid it a little, which may have meant that the PopTober Challenge didn't get much takeup. But we haven't done anything like that this year, so how about it? You have a whole month in which to prepare.
I would like to have an Awesome August. I would like very much to see an offering of some sort every day from all you lovely popslashers who are, I know, still out there. Will you, yes, *you*, sign up to produce something during August? Ideally, let's have more than one new story every day. (Or you could do graphics, or recs/reviews, or a picspam, or something else instead. Everyone can play!)
It seems prudent to suggest that people put their names to each day—I find a deadline works wonders to concentrate the mind. So I'm putting an entry not unlike this up onpopsoundboard, please nip over there and sign up. We can have an Awesome August, I'm sure we can.
