pensnest: cabled section of knitting in deep green variegated yarn (Knitting pride)

Well, 'tis done. I have read and sent feedback to all the MTYG stories that I didn't write.

Haven't received any feedback in almost a week, which makes me sad. Where are all the readers?

In other matters, my nephew was very pleased with the interminable sweater I knitted him.

I believe the pattern is called 'Charles', and I know I've moaned about the process. It seemed interminable—although in fairness, by the time it was done I had a pretty good understanding of cabling. There are cables up the sleeves as far as the collar, as well as the big front panel. Doing the cast-off around the collar in silver was my idea, and I think it sets it off very well.

The colour in the picture isn't quite true—it's a bit more of a dusty blue, but this does show the cabling up nicely.

That is a very fine creation indeed - I'm glad he liked it ;)

(Likewise - not much fb, although blessedly the all-important recipient, and all of it on or before Christmas ...)

Handsome nephew!

I'm itching to try some cable myself. Must finish current project first...

Congratulations on getting FB to everyone else! Yes, it's always sad when there is little to no FB, but it happens in busier fandoms than PopSlash as well. Hopefully FB comments will begin to roll in soon.

The sweater is quite nice and looks perfect on him. I'm glad he is pleased!

That sweater is beautiful. How long did it take you to knit overall? The cast off in silver was a perfect idea!

I haven't read any stories yet (I have no idea where the holidays went) but am looking forward to reading and sending out feedback - now that I'm back at work today I should have more online time ;)
