Apparently my Adorable Niece wants some 'Mythical Shoes'. Postage from USA to UK is around $30 (I'm unable to confirm exactly because for some reason I cannot 'select a size' in either Safari or Firefox today) which actually doesn't seem unreasonable to me, but my sister wonders if any of you kind US-dwellers might be able to post a pair of such shoes to me for less than that.

Anybody guess what it would cost you to post shoes to the UK?

it's hard to guess without knowing approximate weight and type of shoe - frex, toddler sneakers would be less than a pair of adult boots. but $30 would probably not be outrageous, given what I've spent to send packages to the UK

That's really what I was thinking - she's after a pair of size nine (US) trainers, so I don't imagine they'd be featherweight. Thanks!

She's after a pair of what look like quite hefty trainers in US size 9, don't know what that might weigh in at. If you think there's a worthwhile price saving to be had by ordering them via your excellent self, I will pass on the glad tidings to my sister (and hope Adorable Niece hasn't grown another shoe size in the meantime).
