I gazed in horror at both the pairing and the detailed request. Two years ago one of the members of the pairing was someone I hate writing, and that happened again this year. Two years ago I also got a super specific detailed request, which also happened this year. However, two years ago I wrote something I ended up being pretty proud of...hopefully that happens this time.

I have certainly found that really awkward requests can lead to stories you never imagined you'd write, but which you end up being very pleased with. My post-apocalyptic vampires with romance was one such... Good luck!
