December Meme: Casting Lance

My last December Meme entry! brandywine28 asked me to Cast Lance Bass in the Broadway musical of your choice and explain why you think that role/show would be a good fit for him.

Well.

Lance Bass should, and must, play the Cat in the Hat in Seussical, the Musical. He has, or at any rate, used to have, a collection of Doctor Seuss stuff, and it would be awesome to see him bouncing about and/or being sly in a Broadway musical. I think he could be really good. I would definitely fly the Atlantic to see that. I very much want to see that.

I wish! I really do - I sang in the pit as backup in our youth production of Seussical, and even though all I saw of the show was the tv screen under the stage, I could just see Lance as The Cat.

I have to admit, that's one musical I'm not really familiar with, but just the idea of Lance prancing around in The Hat has me sold!

The character describes himself as "your host and MC", which is basically what Lance does anyway. And it's actually a delightful show.
