A day spent with fellow fans, a very nice Chinese meal, and an evening at the Nottingham Arena watching Queen with Adam Lambert. Really, a pretty damn fine way to spend a day (even if the very dull people behind us didn't like us standing up during the encore)(but we did anyway).

On the way home,

nopseud and I burst into a spontaneous rendition of "Patricia The Stripper" to the astonishment of

rikes and

ihearthings_ii.

That is so wonderful! It sounds like the European leg of the tour is going well. Have you seen him in concert before? If so, how did this compare? Although I've seen the videos, it's sort of hard for me to imagine. It seems such a different feel than the GNT concerts. I'm very happy for him and his recent successes--but can't quite get used to how much he's gone from a lad in his 20s to a MAN. (A delightful diva of a man).

And Patricia the Stripper...hmm...now I'm going to google it.

I saw him on the Glamnation tour, and also saw him with Queen a... couple of years ago, I think, when they were getting used to each other.

It's great to see how Adam has really found his own place with Queen. He seems very much at his ease in front of a sizeable arena full of people, and 'Killer Queen' is particularly splendid! Obviously it's a bit different to doing his own tour and his own music—much less choreographed, for a start, which I kinda miss since my concert-going to date has mostly been Backstreet.

The crowd in Nottingham was obviously mostly a Queen crowd; I'm going to see the show again in Frankfurt, where the balance may be a bit different. It'll be interesting to experience!
