An acceptable way to spend an evening
Jan. 25th, 2015 02:00 amA day spent with fellow fans, a very nice Chinese meal, and an evening at the Nottingham Arena watching Queen with Adam Lambert. Really, a pretty damn fine way to spend a day (even if the very dull people behind us didn't like us standing up during the encore)(but we did anyway).
On the way home,
nopseud and I burst into a spontaneous rendition of "Patricia The Stripper" to the astonishment of
rikes and

Date: 2015-01-25 07:13 pm (UTC)It's great to see how Adam has really found his own place with Queen. He seems very much at his ease in front of a sizeable arena full of people, and 'Killer Queen' is particularly splendid! Obviously it's a bit different to doing his own tour and his own music—much less choreographed, for a start, which I kinda miss since my concert-going to date has mostly been Backstreet.
The crowd in Nottingham was obviously mostly a Queen crowd; I'm going to see the show again in Frankfurt, where the balance may be a bit different. It'll be interesting to experience!
