Instant Classic

I am currently experiencing a bit of a Thing for these guys.

Generally speaking, I don't expect people to be particularly interested in barbershop singing, but… well, this is glorious. It was quite hard to pick which numbers to offer, and if you like these, take a stroll through YouTube and find several more. Instant Classic are so polished and make it look so easy, but good lord, count the beats as they hold those notes.

Plus, they're collectively so cute! My heart is given to the adorable little bari, but the big guy who sings bass (and, apparently, everything else too) is magnificent. And the tenor is highly accomplished (see what I did there) and the lead is wonderfully passionate about putting the music across… and the combined effect is very, very pleasing. (And Theo, the Lead, sometimes appears in the comments.)

The last of these three is the one that got me hooked, but it might be better to hear a bit of more regular barbershop first, so…

That was fun. I enjoy barbershop though I prefer it live to watching it on video (that applies to several forms of music for me -my attention wanders more on video).

My attention wanders, too - actually, I quite like watching video because I can do something else at the same time. Which perhaps I shouldn't.

I must admit, though, I find it hard to look away from this quartet.
