My kitchen has had a proper workout: lunch for eleven, yesterday. We had Beast's aunt and uncle staying as well as his brother, plus his father, our brats, and our neighbours, and a friend of Bro-in-law. So starters from Aldi, which included breadcrumbed miniature patties of macaroni cheese (odd but surprisingly good); then pies, cottage and fish; then cinnamon and sour cream cheesecake and summer fruit crumble. Plus fizz, as brought by aunt and uncle. All went very well, used both ovens and the veg-warmer we'd rediscovered in the summer house, and *all* our chairs! And those who had not seen the house before had The Tour. It's quite fun seeing the confusion as people arrive, because the front of the house is quite a bit different now.
