Dear me, more than two weeks since my last entry

And this time I am posting from Devon. I flew down on Friday to spend ten days with my sister's family.

Things are a bit tense here because Adorable Niece has anorexia and is on a re-feeding regime which, well, let's just say, she resents. It is heartbreaking to look at her and see how much she is reduced from the healthy, beautiful young woman who visited us in August and looked so fabulous in my Bun's pretty ball dress. The worst thing, at present, is that AN does not understand that she has a problem.

I'm here to... I don't know, see if I can give any stress relief to two beleaguered parents and provide distractions to a fifteen-year-old. AN and I have done a bit of singing together, which was fun and useful, as I have some new barbershop songs to learn for quartet purposes.

Beast and I went to see Black Panther last week - thought it was fabulous.

And the cats are doing well. At one point during the week I had Fluffy snoozing on my lap! And there was also an evening when Fluffy nestled by my legs, and Sable sneaked onto the sofa just a bit further away and settled down for a nap. I even got to stroke her.

I hope they are missing me!

Beast may not have time to miss me, as we retrieved his Dad from Heathrow on Thursday morning. We had to drive through the rush hour, which was, um, fun, but we made reasonable time and FIL was just where he was supposed to be, and wearing shorts. I had provided various meals for my deserted Beast, but his dad my also offer slow-cooked stews during the week.

Anyhoooo. Weather here is bright, sunny and extremely cold—and I believe Norwich is to be quite a lot colder mid-week. Despite the emerging daffodils, Spring does not feel very imminent!
