Miscellany
Jul. 8th, 2018 10:53 pmIf I had only know that yesterday was World Chocolate Day I could have justified satisfying my acute craving while in Aldi. In fairness, had my Beast not accompanied me, I'd probably have given in to it anyway.
But I didn't.
*
Sable, the aloof and wary little cat, will climb on my lap and stare pointedly into my eyes when I am eating a milk ice lolly. She will then apply herself assiduously to nomming the remnant I leave for her, to the point where I worry she will get splinters on her tongue.
*
Fluffy, by contrast, has been sick *again*, on the new lounge carpet *again*. I think it's because she is such a piggy when she eats her meals. Then again, I discovered a cherry-sized head during the afternoon, so perhaps she is eating things that are not as nicely designed to suit a cat as her Whiskas and Purina. *sigh*
*
I was watching some saved Great British Bake Offs last night, and dreamed up some incredible recipes in my sleep. The Treasure Island cake I may even have to make. It has buried treasure, and rum.
*
I can't remember why I came across this post, but it pretty much encapsulates my own feelings on the subject, so I share. Why I am an atheist - Tom Hail
*
Despite the heat, which makes me wish to lie about eating ice cream and doing nothing at all, I have been quite useful this weekend, putting a nice black coat of paint over the grey-painted dining chairs and touching up the worn bits of the black-painted dining chairs. Meanwhile, Beast has become deeply interested in the acquisition of a new and magnificent dining table and has been doing much research into the mathematics of how the chosen shape will work.
He's that sort of chap, really.
But I didn't.

And what is the chosen shape for your new dining table?

Date: 2018-07-14 07:56 pm (UTC)It will be a large oval dining table, three metres in length.
