Sadly it's almost certainly the precursor to a leadership race, and much as I loathe May, the alternatives are far, far worse. BoJo was apparently more or less in seclusion from the point Davis resigned, and certainly not doing his actual job.

Blech, when do the adults get involved with our Politics please?

I'm not sure that a leadership race would be the worst thing. I suspect May would probably win it, on the grounds that nobody reasonable actually wants the poisoned chalice right now, and the extremists are pissing off everybody. But if we do get a full-on Brexiteer for PM, they still won't be able to get a deal, and I can't see the government hanging on for very long.

And Boris has been so bad at his actual job...
