This Is Me.

Somewhat to my disappointment, they have not acknowledged anywhere (that I can see) who did the singing, but the video is lovely, and gets better as it goes along.

Somehow—ah, I remember, a PZ post about tumbling spiders—I was led to this amazing piece of film featuring Buster Keaton running and runningandrunningandrunning and... it's almost terrifying to watch! Seeing a film with this scene nowadays would not feel perilous because I would know that the tumbling rocks, etc, were all CGI, but this! I mean, the rocks probably were something not rock-based, but still. I feel I should perhaps watch more Buster Keaton. He is extraordinary.

Grandpa now has Virgin TV instead of (or, I suppose, as well as) Freeview. He is not unnaturally completely bewildered by the change. I have spent a while selecting shows he likes watching and setting them to record, so that he'll have a bunch of shows ready when he can't find anything to watch, but I foresee spending a great deal of time going through the programme guide with him. Sigh.

As well as The Man From Virgin this morning, our structural engineer came by to inspect the house and make sure it isn't falling down. Our insurance broker suggested it might help... Happily, he reckons the house is not falling down (in my completely amateur opinion, he is quite right). We had a long chat about vegetarianism, veganism and the disgusting things done to turkeys and chickens, and I showed him my induction hob. He's a very pleasant man, but it is difficult to get him out of the house—like Lt Cdr Data, he does not stop giving out information!

The video came out so well.

Good luck with the tv situation. Hopefully you won't be called on too much.

Great video!

OMG< good luck with Grandpa and New Technology. It's amazing how befuddling new tech is to those who didn't grow up with it. (It makes me wonder what tech will befuddle me when I am 85).
