I can't help worrying that when we come through the COVID-19 crisis we will find that we have ruined both our NHS and our economy. Still, it makes the Brexit years look like the good times, doesn't it?

My chorus rehearsals are now cancelled until after Easter. I suppose I'm not surprised, but as I've missed about three due to having a glue-filled throat, I was quite looking forward to doing some singing. We had a couple of singouts booked, too, and those are not going to happen either — which is, to be fair, just as well as the audience would be approx 90% Vulnerable Category people, and also, very small in number!

And oh, woe is me, I am increasingly certain that the BABS Convention, due late May, is not going to happen. They had invited My Favourite Quartet to appear. Who, unless they start swimming right away, probably won't get here anyway.

Grump.

Happily, in the meantime we can all enjoy Chuck Tingle's latest masterpiece!

That's a pity about the choir events not happening. It's very disappointing how much has had to be swept away in the wake of all this.

Chuck Tingle is amazing.

I remember the volcano! I was traveling then too and had a flight canceled due to the ash, although ultimately I got where I was going. But yeah, it's not the kind of contingency we usually plan for!

I'm sorry about Camp. :(

That's too bad about the choir rehearsals and that you won't get a chance to see your favourites. There's a lot to be grumpy about right now!

The NHS may survive, not so sure about the economy.

The choir I just joined is experimenting with remote sessions - I've asked the choir leader if I can share the info more widely, in case that potentially appeals? (I'm not sure I can imagine it at all, but I figure it's worth a try, and if nothing else, I can use the video tutorials solo to learn the new songs)
