Apparently Lance Bass is embracing the crack now. Instagram post in which he asks Michael... if Lance and Michael's Dad swapped bodies, and Michael had to have sex with one of them in order to get them to change back, would he sleep with Lance-in-Dad's body, or Dad-in-Lance's body?

Ahaha.

(I just cracked myself up changing the question to: if Lance and Michael swapped bodies and had to have sex to get themselves sorted out, which one would top? This is very not-acceptable speculation, of course.)

Our Ladies Barbershop Convention, due to happen in October, has been cancelled. Not an altogether surprising call, and one which I agree with, but still. Sad.

I have at loooooong last finished with the pale grey yak and the variegated shades of lavender silky yarns! One Bambara shawl, and one asymmetric made-it-up-as-I-went-along. Both quite successful, I think, but I must block them.

Beast is now trying to get an appointment for his COVID jab. It's hard to see how so many people have been done, because the system does its best to be impregnable against all comers. And he is not going to Bury St Edmunds for it!

I have my first COVID jab tomorrow - I find the booking easy, but I must just have caught it at the right moment, before another wave started to book.

I spent an afternoon phoning my surgery at regular intervals, and eventually got into the queue, and eventually got to speak to a receptionist and book my appointment. But they seem to want people to check in via the website now, and my poor Beast was supposed to book *both* jabs at the same time, which was (a) ridiculous and (b) impossible. Utterly random set of vaccine centres! However, perhaps he has had better luck this morning.

Lance read the Couch story a while back - the one where Lance turns into a couch and cannot cuddle Joey because... he is a couch. I don't think Lance entirely appreciated the tragedy of the situation, though.

He has managed to book both jabs, and in one of the most convenient places, too! Someone on this evening's Zoom kept being sent off to Bury St Edmunds to book (only 38 miles as the crow flies, which frankly isn't that convenient even if you are a crow).

Congrats on finishing the shawls! I have picked up knitting again, after almost 20 years. Started with leg warmers though, figured they'd be a good warmup project.

Good for you! Beware the second legwarmer, always less interesting to knit than the first.

Yes, it's indoors, and about 3,000 attendees. They're probably wise to stick with safety, particularly as we don't know if the relaxing of precautions over the summer will send things the way they went last year. Let's hope not!
