More sorting and carting today. We emptied bedroom 2 and took up the carpet - turns out carpet rips quite nicely if you get it started in the right direction. That, the underlay, and a pile of electrical and metal objects, many of them knives, got taken to the Dump.

Then, we went to a carpet shop and managed to order a new one which is likely to be fitted within the week! \o/ In time for BIL's next visit, so he'll be able to sleep in a bedroom with an ensuite if he wants to. And my Boy will have a wholesome carpet in the room when he has to move in.

So many trips up and down stairs. Legs weary. Time to knit.

It's just kitchen knives, mostly - I don't know why he had quite so many, but I suspect the old story of Oh, look, that's a bargain, it'll be useful. One looked like a fish-gutting knife...

You made me curious so I'd to look up what a fish-gutten knife looked like. For some reason I imagined it would be long and narrow but that's apparently a fish fillet knife. The things one learns when looking things up on the net is amazing :-)

It is. I hope it will also be good for the dementia ward, for at the moment I am producing little lap-blankets which I hope they'll be able to take in again soon.
