I got an email from Adam Lambert's publicity team, which means I have to ponder. Do I want an album of Adam Lambert singing covers?

On the whole, I don't think I do. (Although I am actually somewhat tempted by the live recordings with Queen album.)

What I want is for him to put out an album that excited me as much as Trespassing, which he hasn't done since, well, Trespassing.

Our concert on Saturday night went very well—we always sound good in that church, and somehow every number we sang just went *right*. I was MC, and had to do a bit of improvising here and there, eg when one member had to go to the back of the church to play the piano, and needed light, etc. I was not one of the raffle prize winners, but about half our chorus did get something. Since there were probably as many of us as there were of audience, this is fair.

Then another full day of singing on Sunday, with a Secret Santa at lunchtime. My only complaint is that my recipient did not open her present! As the best thing about any kind of Secret Santa is always a happy recipient, I feel robbed. Hmph.

Which reminds me, Yuletide. Okay, back to work.

I think I read somewhere that he has a real album coming out next year, fingers crossed...

I hope so! Although I was underwhelmed by The Original High, and I cannot remember anything about Velvet, so the trajectory is not promising.

There are a couple of covers I'd love to have studio recordings of, back from the Glam Nation tour, but I suspect they're not likely to be on there.

I did thoroughly enjoy Velvet, though.

It's funny, I cannot remember a single song from Velvet. I know I've listened to it....

Trespassing felt so authentic, somehow. Sex, drugs, vulnerability, and Being Gay. So many good songs! Nothing since has made me feel that way.

Yuletide story just needs a final proofread and it is ready to post. \o/

Queen covers are great, but at this point I think I've heard him sing...their entire catalog? Like, all of it? Here's hoping he'll release something new soon.

I like the way he does the Queen songs, he is damn good as their frontman, but YouTube satisfies my need for those quite happily. I want more Adam Lambert, but I want it to be what I thought Adam Lambert was going to produce. Hmm.
