Challenge #5, sharing resources, was of no interest to me.
Challenge #6, scavenger hunt, ditto.
Challenge #7: In your own space, interact with a community or a fic. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so

I've been a very good Yuletider and have left lots of comments on stories in fandoms I could summon up even a slight interest in, so I'm good here.

Challenge #8 was create a poll, and meh.

Challenge #9: In your own space, celebrate a personal win from the past year: it can be a list of fanworks you're especially proud of, time you spent in the community, a quality or skill you cultivated in yourself, something you generally feel went well.

Well, if I must.

I got over depression.
I grew a whole lot of vegetables, cooked many and froze many.
I planted the flowerbeds, though I don't yet know how successfully.

Challenge #10 is to create a fanwork, and that's not going to happen. I suppose it *might* happen next week, but I doubt it.

Watched See How They Run on Disney a few days ago - I wouldn't recommend it, particularly. Quite clever (and a delightful portrayal of young Dickie Attenborough by Harris Dickinson), plus a lot of truly fabulous room sets, but overall it was like a spinning top that never quite got up to speed. I *think* it was because Sam Rockwell, as the chief detective, was a charisma vacuum, but it may have been the pacing, or indeed something else. Eh.

Also watched the first season of The Bear, which was interesting and I'll watch more. Lots of irritation directed at certain characters (the irritating ones), lots of interesting cooking stuff, and surprising amount of tension as to what would happen. Good show.

We're currently watching a ten-year-old series, The Finder, which is rather charming. The leading man ought not to appeal to me, as he is very good-looking, but somehow he manages to be incredibly cute. Perhaps it is because the character is so very quirky. Also a gorgeous shape.

I have bulbs to plant, and more due to arrive today or tomorrow. Which is unfortunate as it is still freezing overnight, although the daytime temperature is set to rise to a balmy 6 degrees tomorrow, but we are taking the Boy bed-shopping in the afternoon. Sunday is out because all-day rehearsal, and today was out because baking cakes for all-day rehearsal. Sigh. Perhaps we will happen upon the perfect bed in good time—actually a possibility, as the Boy is not keen on shopping and will probably want to get it over with.

Those are excellent wins, every single one of them.

I watched The Bear and enjoyed it, mostly. Some of the characters were intensely annoying and it took me a while to catch all the dialogue as so often it was so fast and so loud.

My garden had shoots springing, I just hope this cold snap hasn't killed everything off.

Hope the bed shopping went well.

All of those are indeed well worth celebrating but overcoming depression particularly so! I know how hard it can be working out of even a mild bout of depression.

I hope the weather has cooperated so you could plant those bulbs!
