I feel it is important to inform you all that the squirrels have now chewed their way through the squirrel feeder. The perspex front has been gnawed loose and is now lost for ever.

But why would they chew through something when they can get into it anyway?!! I'm starting to suspect that your squirrels ENJOY being contrarian and doing things the hard way.

Aren't squirrels like rats, with constantly growing teeth that need to gnaw?

According to Wikipedia yes, squirrel teeth grow constantly just like rat teeth. I'd no idea!
