As you may or may not know them too, I shall share.
When you do your PFEs lying down, put your hands on your lower belly. As you squeeze, you should not feel your belly move. Ditto if you put your hands on your buttocks—they shouldn't contribute to the squeezing. Oh, and be sure to breathe out when you squeeze in. (I think I do this automatically now, after all this time at the gym.)
Also, if you stand, feet hip distance apart, try pointing your toes outward. You'll feel the squeeze more towards the back. And if you point your toes inward instead, the squeeze will be more at the front. So you can strengthen those pelvic floor muscles in different places. Useful!
