Nothing much to say
May. 22nd, 2006 11:26 amI seem to have been in a not-enough-sleep-so-brain-at-50% phase for a while. A couple of nights ago, got out of bed at 1am because the trying to sleep simply wasn't working. By the time I crawled back between the sheets the bloody birds were starting to make a racket. Must...achieve... normality...
Meanwhile, I found a Stardance link. Somebody should tell Lance Bass.
And, I've had the first story *in* for my Dragon Challenge. Woot! I hope that inspires other writers - especially *me*. I'm having a lot of trouble getting my tale written. :-( Meanwhile, it's back to InDesign to get the programme done for this weekend's play, Stepping Out.
Oh, man, I'm boring.

Date: 2006-05-22 02:50 pm (UTC)I finished typing mine up from my notes yesterday... ..but, um, the notes only went up to the last or second to last scene. Which would be the part with the dragon, lol. So we'll just see.
Are you going to be posting/emailing the submission details soon-ish? And I'm still not sure how you want [bold]bold[/bold] and [italics]italics[/italics] submitted, if you want it as a .txt file?
And what's a Stardance? I get a 404 off your link. *pout*

Date: 2006-05-22 03:42 pm (UTC)The Stardance link is odd - it *looks* fine, so I don't understand what goes wrong, but I get the link with %22 on the end, and removing that takes you to the Stardance page. It refers to a novel, well, a series of novels, by Spider and Jeanne Robinson, about zero-g dance. And now, it seems Jeanne is going to be making a zero-g dance film...

O-kaaaay...
But yeah, raise your hand if you can TOTALLY see Lance Lance-Dancing in zero g 'cuz he's finally made it to space, lol
And, uh, Whisky Tango Foxtrot's a .rtf file? I'm working in Word, will it do that? And if not, what should I re-format it to?

Date: 2006-05-22 05:06 pm (UTC)Rich Text Format... maybe it's a Mac thing, I dunno. Word will do fine, in fact. I just have an irrational loathing of MS Word, mostly because it thinks it knows better than I do, so these days I do all my typing in TextEdit. But Word docs are no problem.

Date: 2006-05-22 05:32 pm (UTC)I know what you mean with Word. It's darn annoying to try to use with webspace. I can save it that way, sure, but are you sure you don't just want something with [tag]and[/tag] in it? The story makes NO use of brackets (and is not all that long, only a few instances where I used italics or bold anyway) so they would be easy to find...
..Whatever works for you, just let me know.
*g*
