The Jeep

My poor sister. She arrived on Wednesday evening with a groaning, clattering, frankly terrifying noise coming from the Jeep's engine. It had been fine all the way from Devon, but after she stopped to fill up with petrol the last five minutes of the journey were, well. Bad.

Prudently she's covered all ways by the RAC so a chap in a bright orange van was soon with us, and declared that the air conditioning compresser was FUBAR. So I had to prise my eyelids apart enough to drive her to Heathrow for her conference yesterday morning.

Well. I've just collected her from the hotel near Heathrow and delivered her to the garage which has mended her car. She drove off, so I'm fingers-crossing that she'll make it back to (a) her conference, and (b) Devon, this evening!

She unwisely got me onto the topic of my sparkliness as we whizzed(ish) round the M25, thus confirming her belief that I am a Very Strange Person. However, I get many good sister points for chauffeur services. Go me.

I just spent the last two days chauffeuring my brother to and from meetings and the airport, but not because of any car problems, just because he was here from out of town.

From the very grateful sister - a big thankyou. Since the recent problems the car seems to be on top form and the air con is so efficient now that I have to keep turning it off.
The journey home was not bad considering it was a Friday night and the good weather we have had.
Please can you remind me of the codes to enter before adding a photo to my journal.

Thanks - I will give that a go. We are going to clear a table in the breakfast room and set up the mac in there as the kids are arguing about it and David also fancies a go!
