Education!

1. As we sat at lunch today, a thrush flew full-tilt into the house (probably the kitchen window), fell to the ground, quivered for thirty seconds, and died. Damn it. It's not as though my kitchen windows are *clean*.

2. I have been educating my Beast. In the wake of the Boob 'Project' thing, I have been waxing indignant, so gave him some links. The Male Privilege Check List came as quite a surprise - he did, to be fair, agree wholeheartedly with point one, and has indeed mentioned it as a Bad Thing before now, but I think a lot of the points were things he'd never thought about. I then prodded him along to various LJs for a selection of reactions. He was pretty much appalled by this post from cereta, for instance. I'm sure this will be good for him.

He has just started to read "Mind Fuck" by Manna Francis. I await developments with some interest.

Poor birdy. I've had a robin that's been attacking my back door thinking his reflection is some other robin that he needs to fend off. Stupid thing.

Yes, that post was on the list I gave him, and he spent quite a while thinking about it. LiveJournal has many smart people!

I must admit, I'm quite looking forward to seeing what he makes of it! I *suspect* he'll be a bit bewildered, being a very innocent chap, but you never know.
