pensnest: bright-eyed baby me (Default)
Thanks, everyone who responded to yesterday's "up my nose" question. To get up someone's nose, incidentally, means to irritate someone. It's not quite as aggressive as getting in someone's face, and from the nose-owner's point of view. Picturesque, but as I feared, rather region-specific. Oh well.

The cat still cannot manage to find her food unless I am in the kitchen. You'd think she'd be able to smell it!

I finished my "The Earl of Rothinghamtonfordshire" podfic at last, yay! I hope those of you who acquire it will be happy with this very British rendition. Ahem. Let me know.

Boy is being remarkably communicative at the moment! Chat is definitely his medium. Bun, of course, does not tend to communicate at all, and now that [community profile] severalplums has come to an end I don't even see her votes. Sigh.

I must also note that I did very well in the recent purchase of a new duvet. I bought one that is actually two—a 10.5 tog and a 4.5 tog, I think. We have them snapped together at the moment, for one extra-warm covering which manages to be light and fluffy and entirely comforting to sleep under *and* also fills the duvet cover, which none of the others in the house does. It positively beckons me into bed.
