Cannot watch tennis! *gibbers* At least, not when I care about the result. I watched the women's doubles yesterday, and highlights of the women's singles (go Serena!) but Murray has just won the first set and I need a break! Tennis goes surprisingly well with simple knitting, as there's so much space between points, so I may (maybe) manage to get the second sleeve of my seamless sweater done. At the third, possibly fourth, time of attempting. I am very ready for this garment to be DONE.

If anyone had told me that a Ladies Barbershop Chorus rehearsal might involve nipple twirling and a suggestion of bottom clenching (we did veto the twerking, probably because so many of us have bad backs), I should not have believed them. Yet, so it was.

I harvested rhubarb today for the first time since we moved here. Last year my lovingly transported plant went in to a spot that didn't prove at all fertile, but I moved it in anticipation of builders, and put it somewhere it likes much more. So the rhubarb pieces are softened on the stove with a little sugar and a tin of broken mandarins in syrup, a combination which seems to work very well. We shall eat it with condensed milk tomorrow. Om nom.

And my apple trees are heavy with apples! It is Most Exciting.
