Oct. 24th, 2010 11:43 pmMy computer has Not Been Well, today's manifestation taking the form of waking up dark—music played, therefore iTunes, but screen stayed black. My Resident Expert happily having inherited some of his dad's squirrelling genes, there was a spare graphics card in the loft, and this appears to have cured the problem. I hope so, I get panicky when I can't access all the Stuff on my main computer. Not that I have done anything Useful today apart from post the
severalplums voting. Bad Pen. U haz a story to rite.
We took FIL to Heathrow last night, he should be... huh, I dunno if he'll be in a plane or actually in Australia at the moment. He arrives in Tasmania on Monday, but it's probably Monday there already. I hope he can stagger off the plane in reasonable order after twenty four hours in Economy. Gah.
We have, therefore, had a routine day, except for the computer manifestation which resulted in me doing the ironing while Beast did his Expert thing. Turned out there was quite a lot of ironing, and as we'll be needing clean clothes for the Oz trip, I can't exactly complain about having to do it. We watched the Pompeii episode of Doctor Who as we had our lunch, and I liked it even more this time round. Oh, Donna.
It's very odd not having a cat complaining about the place.
I see we have more than thirty authors signed up for MTYG! Excellent.
