Can anyone recommend a slow vibrator?
See, the standard variety (and the super speshul hyper orgasmic variety, and the Phenomenal Rabbit and very probably also the Mains Powered For More OOOOOOooooomph, etc) tend to leave my delicate bits feeling, um, bludgeoned. All that z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z! is just a bit much. What I want is more along the lines of pdnk, pdnk, pdnk. Or possibly pdnkpdnkpdnkpdnkpdnk. I dunno. Just not z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!z!
Perhaps there is another name for a toy of this nature?
I wonder if I have an icon for this.... oh, yes. Of course.

Date: 2012-06-03 06:04 pm (UTC)My newest has seven (!) settings, but the mildest goes from 'Oh, that's it' to 'Yikes' in about a second, so it's not really right. To be fair, I haven't done much in the way of research into vibrator intensities - though most of them appear to be advertised along the Moar Powerful axis, which is about the opposite of what I'm interested in. So I guess a model that's a bit wimpy might do.

(I'm not sure if it's possible to order from them directly in the UK, but I've used them for research and then found the objects elsewhere - a few years back Harmony stores in London were carrying GV's own-brand toys - one of those top two of all times was one of theirs!)
I've found silicon vibes to be softer in general, and things with analogue controls rather than stepped settings might give you more control. Shape plays a role too - a small vibe with a point if going to focus the sensation more intensely than a blunter shape with a wider area.
I'm tempted by some of the toys with pulse settings, which might be less likely to overload.
Maybe something like this? http://www.goodvibes.com/display_product.jhtml?id=1-2-AJ-1120#fulldescription
Top tip from Shhhh - testing the vibe on the tip of your nose is apparently the best way to test the strength of the vibration. Not something I would have thought of myself!

Date: 2012-06-04 02:07 am (UTC)I bought one 2-1/2 years ago and it's the best, I promise! $90 but you won't have to buy another one for a verrrry long time. It's VERY quiet, rechargable, portable and pretty :)
