I have no involvement with coding, but the Beginning Dev checklist on the wiki seems like a place to start?

Ah, thanks for the link. Sadly, my Beast isn't familiar with any of the languages and doesn't really feel inclined to start again with a new set of stuff. Oh well.

The Dev team uses mostly Perl, if that helps.

I'm not on the dev team, but I can get in touch with them, if you need?

I'm on the email list for dreamwidth that lists all their coding updates and such when they happen. It just so happens that the most recent one (dated 6-11-13) has a variety of contact info at the bottom for people who want to join the various Dreamwidth teams. Many thanks for the offer - sadly, I think my Beast has decided he doesn't want to learn any more computer languages, so he won't be participating. A pity, because I have no desire whatsoever to code myself, but he's done it for fun in the past and I hoped to contribute by making him useful!
