As I got a meal ready yesterday I was listening to something on Radio 4 which (unusually) filled me with squick. One artist was talking about preparing garments made of meat, specifically offal; another talked about performance art featuring people 'having sex with offal'. I'm quite willing to concede that this is art, but, ick!!

I have now set out five smallish shawls to block in the spare bedroom. Quite an impressive display. I hate blocking.

I also did the ironing yesterday afternoon. It's good to have standards.

I only ever seem to bake when I have bananas that are too overripe to eat as they are. I did a quite decent banana cake with chocolate chips, which went excellently well with some mascarpone that I'm sure I had a purpose for when I bought it. Well, the cake is now all gone - I finished the last of it at my Virtual Biddy's session last night. Not up to the standards of Biddy's cake, but one does what one can.

Having sex with offal. Okay. That one didn't come up when I was researching What It Says on the Can. Thank goodness!

Ahaha - er, indeed not. Anyway, What It Says on the Can is perfect just as it is!

It always seems wrong to waste bananas, when they could be put into perfectly decent cake. Though I'm now tempted by the idea of slow-cooked banoffee bananas for dessert...

I contemplate trying to bake Other Things, and leave them furtively on the brats' doorstep, but I suspect my Bun is doing enough quarantine baking to keep them plump and happy, even without bananas.

Weeeeelll, I do prefer ironed T-shirts, and Beast prefers ironed underpants, and I don't really mind ironing. I listen to belty music or podfic, and it's quite pleasant, it's just the getting round to it that is difficult.
