Damn it, it takes so *long* to write a sex scene. I *know* what they do, I've been imagining it clear as anything, but getting it into WORDS is excruciating. And I know for sure that in three months' time I will read it and think, couldn't I have made it hotter than that?

Gah.

In other news, I think my cat has a shoe fetish. Yesterday she was sleeping on my sandals, and today she stuffed her little face right inside my smelly sneaker and just luxuriated. Is this normal-for-cats?

In a desperate effort not to keep procrastinating with my RPF big_bang story, I'm fighting an addiction to YouTube. Yesterday morning, for no reason at all that I can recall, I was perusing condom ads. (Oh, wait, yes, I was trying to find that adorable French cartoon one with the cute boy who had all kinds of misadventures before he found his true love. Anyone?) Great amusement from this one:

Both Lancecat and Sinbad was completely obsessed with shoes when they were kittens. As grownups they only show(ed) the occasional interest in guest shoes. So I would say that yes, your cat is weird :-D

I've had cats who are crazy about shoes, playing with them, sleeping on them, rubbing all over them. Leather shoes are a particular favorite. My CK kitty is particularly amusing with them. He likes to drag my shoes around the house, hide his kitty toys inside my shoes, and on occasion, he'll run full speed, slide to a stop and landing with his face in one of my shoes, paws on either side. And of course the shoes slides a few inches. Like without_me said, they seem attracted to the smell of YOU on the shoes. Perhaps your shoes tell your kitty about all the travels you've done while you were away from them? Or they're simply happy that your shoes have brought you back home once again! ;)

At one time I feel sure I had a pair of trainers that basically smelt like cat litter, which is probably another matter altogether. I can only conclude that cats are mysterious creatures. I wonder if they rub all over shoes because shoes smell quite strongly, and the cats want to put their own smell onto them.
