I posted a bunch of fire textures for the [livejournal.com profile] get_creative Fire challenge, here.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] glendaglamazon did a quiz on significant dates in American history, so I thought I'd do one for my country, too. (I'm British, or, more specifically, English. In case anyone couldn't tell.) I have no idea whether this is easy or hard, as I reckon most of them are easy to figure out even if you don't know them. But I could be wrong. Did I do okay?

I'm utter rubbish at this, because British history was ... a very long time ago. I have an excuse? *bats eyelashes*

02 15th June 1215 - the Magna Carta?

03 23rd April 1564

04 5th November 1605 - Oooh. Whatshisface tries to blow up Parliament?

05 30th January 1649 - Cromwell comes to power?

06 2nd September 1666 - I want to say the fire of London or something plague-related?

08 11 December 1936 - possibly, something WWII-related, something to do with Churchill?

09 15 February 1971
